Pricing
Every number below is the number you'll pay. No quote step required to see it.
Units
We price most translation work by the word. Some certified-translation providers price by Normzeile instead — a standard German billing unit of 55 keystrokes including spaces. Where we use it, that's the definition we use: 55 keystrokes, stated plainly. Some providers define a Normzeile as 50–53 keystrokes, which quietly inflates the line count and the total — worth checking whenever you compare quotes. Interpreting is priced by the hour or half/full day; DTP and transcription are priced by the hour, page, or minute.

What changes a price
Why does language pair change the price?
Some pairs have fewer qualified specialist translators available, which is reflected in the multiplier — stated openly rather than folded invisibly into a quote.
Why is there a minimum order?
Short jobs carry the same coordination overhead as long ones — the minimum reflects that rather than pricing a two-line document at an unrealistic per-word rate.
Does the estimator price match what I'll actually pay?
For most jobs, yes, closely — it's an estimate, not a binding quote, and we confirm the final figure against your actual file before starting.
Can I combine add-ons, like certification and express delivery?
Yes — the estimator calculates combined surcharges live, in the order shown in the breakdown.
